Some evenings redefine what it means to experience food. On July 8th, Discover Atlanta invites you to an exclusive culinary gathering in the Teaching Kitchen of Open Hand — an up-close, immersive evening with two of the most compelling chefs working today.

The night centers on live cooking demonstrations from two extraordinary talents. First, Chef Freddy Money — British-born culinary director of Atlas and The Garden Room, and one of the most inventive forces in Atlanta’s dining scene — takes the kitchen. Known for a style that balances bold, imaginative ideas with classical precision, Chef Freddy brings a perspective shaped by the finest European kitchens and years of celebrated leadership in high-end gastronomy.

Then, Chef Philip Tessier steps in. A silver medalist at the prestigious Bocuse d’Or — the Olympics of the culinary world — and chef-partner at PRESS Restaurant in California’s Napa Valley, Tessier trained at Le Bernardin, Per Se, and The French Laundry under Thomas Keller, and later coached Team USA to its historic gold medal victory. His cooking is as precise as his résumé is formidable.

Guests will taste from both chefs’ demonstrations throughout the evening, with wine flowing alongside. A mixologist from one of the World’s 50 Best Bars will then craft a signature cocktail live — one you’ll raise yourself. Throughout the night, the format stays open and intimate: you’ll mingle freely, move through flavors at your own pace, and have rare access to both chefs in a setting where real conversation can happen. Bites and beverages are all-inclusive!
