Ravi Parakkat transitioned from twenty years in business and technology consulting to community service. He was honored as Oak Park-River Forest’s Villager of the Year in 2020 for saving livelihoods and local restaurants during the pandemic through his initiative, Takeout 25. He is the author of The Takeout 25 Effect the story about mobilizing and harnessing the power of community. Elected to the Oak Park Village Board in 2021, Ravi serves as a Village Trustee. He is the Vice President of Digital Transformation with Junior Achievement of Chicago, helping this impactful non-profit embrace digital to help young people succeed in life. An Engineer and an MBA, Ravi brings diverse teams together to solve real world problems. Originally from Kerala, India, he now resides in Oak Park, Illinois, with his wife, Amy and daughters Rowen and Reva.
