An Atlanta native who has spent most of her career working for local nonprofits, Aleksandra is grateful to join the team at Giving Kitchen to continue her passion of providing stability, tangible help, and hope to those in need.
Aleksandra began her career on the program side of nonprofits, where she appreciated the hands-on nature of the work. She soon realized that her lifelong love of writing and reading paired with her joy of thoughtful and authentic relationship-building could be used to serve the development side. Using the same hands-on approach, she particularly enjoys providing opportunities to partner with organizations and propel them forward, together. In doing so, she believes it’s beautiful to empower individuals to lean into and join the mission, beyond just observing and supporting from the sidelines- to truly step in and be a part of the work and impact firsthand.
An always-hopeful Atlanta sports fan from a proud Tar Heel family, she loves watching her teams- even when they disappoint- and spending time with family and friends. Most often, you’ll find her baking, hiking or searching for the best ice cream and iced coffee with her husband, Zac. She loves a good road trip, particularly with her two rescue pups, Beau (usually referred to as Bubs; the adventurous black lab mix from Best Friends Animal Society) and Champ (the cuddliest mutt from Atlanta Lab Rescue who likely has no lab in him).
