A Spark of Inspiration
Katie Bishop’s journey with Giving Kitchen began with a simple yet powerful spark of inspiration. She first read about Giving Kitchen in Bon Appétit and found herself deeply moved by the mission. Like any compassionate and resilient foodie, her wheels started turning. What if something like Giving Kitchen could be brought to her beloved town of Columbus, Georgia?
The Idea Takes Root
As fate would have it, the universe had plans for Katie and the Giving Kitchen family. While her PR Firm, Yalla, was in the midst of planning Columbus’s inaugural Restaurant Week, they were on the lookout for the perfect beneficiary. Naturally, Katie thought of Giving Kitchen. However, at that time Giving Kitchen was not yet serving the Columbus area.
