From the Culinary Heart of Peru to Atlanta’s Delta Sky Club: Chef Arnaldo Castillo Celebrates Community and Champions Giving Kitchen’s Mission

At Giving Kitchen, we know that the heart of the food service industry beats strongest in its communities—the people who lift each other up, share their talents, and show us all what resilience looks like in the face of challenges. That’s why we’re thrilled to be part of an amazing partnership between Chef Arnaldo Castillo of Atlanta’s acclaimed restaurant Tio Lucho’s and Delta Air Lines’ Sky Club, that will benefit Giving Kitchen’s mission to help food service workers in crisis.

From now until June 13, 2025, travelers passing through Delta’s largest Sky Club at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport will have the incredible opportunity to savor Chef Castillo’s signature Peruvian cuisine through Delta’s “Local Flavor” program located on Concourse B. For Chef Castillo, this three-month residency is more than a culinary showcase—it’s a way to celebrate the rich heritage of Peru while honoring the city of Atlanta, the place he’s called home for nearly two decades. A 2024 James Beard Foundation semifinalist for Best Chef: Southeast, Chef Castillo’s cooking speaks to his deep commitment to community and the shared stories that food can tell.

How Travelers Can Support

While travelers are treated to the vibrant flavors of Peru, they’ll also get a chance to learn about the mission of Giving Kitchen—a nonprofit close to Chef Castillo’s heart. Through emergency assistance and community resources, Giving Kitchen stands as a safety net for food service workers, offering help and hope during trying times. Generously supported by Chef Castillo’s business partners at Tio Lucho’s, the Hsu family, our organization is honored to be a part of this residency. Together, we’re weaving threads of compassion into the fabric of the dining experience, reminding people that crisis can be met with care—and that no one in our industry has to face hardship alone.

Until June 13th Delta Sky Club guests can enjoy Tio’s favorites — Lomo Saltado, Tio’s Salad, and Causa Limeña at the Delta Sky Club, located at Gate B18, and have the opportunity to support food service workers.
