Originally from New York, Loretta has called Georgia home for over 25 years. She is a proud graduate of Benedict College, a Historically Black College in Columbia, SC, where she earned her B.S. in Computer Science. She later earned her MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus and pursued advanced studies in Analytics at Georgia Tech.

Loretta began her professional journey as a Software Engineer and quickly evolved into a versatile leader with a proven track record in finance, accounting, organizational development, project management, process improvement, quality assurance, talent development, and product innovation. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to own and operate franchised hair salons in the metro Atlanta area, adding small business leadership to her diverse portfolio.

Deeply committed to service, Loretta has spent decades working with nonprofits, both as a hands-on volunteer and an operational leader. Before joining Giving Kitchen, she served as Managing Director of Operations at ReadSource, the nonprofit arm of the esteemed Schenck School. There, she led all organizational functions—finance, people, and program management—with a mission to create lasting impact.

Today, Loretta continues to give back through civic engagement, serving on the Community Council for her district, ensuring that local voices are heard and respected. She is also a board member of the International Community School in Decatur, GA, supporting inclusive education for all.

An active participant in Atlanta’s vibrant running community, Loretta finds peace and inspiration in Stone Mountain Park, one of her favorite places in DeKalb County. Grounded by her faith, devoted to her family, and driven by a deep sense of community, Loretta brings energy, insight, and compassion to her role at Giving Kitchen—helping shape better outcomes for food service workers and their families.
