At Giving Kitchen, every opportunity to connect with the food service community is an opportunity to celebrate the people who make this industry so meaningful. Whether gathering with restaurant leaders, hospitality professionals, or longtime supporters, we’re continually reminded that the strength of this industry comes from the care we show one another.

Here’s a look at where we’ve recently been sharing our mission, building community, and deepening conversations around supporting food service workers in crisis.

Atlanta Business Chronicle Restaurant Summit

We were grateful to join the Atlanta restaurant community at the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Restaurant Summit in our hometown. Bringing together leaders from across the industry, the event created space for meaningful conversations around the future of hospitality, the challenges facing operators and workers, and the importance of community support.

We are grateful to the Atlanta Business Chronicle for bringing together legends and movers of the Atlanta restaurant industry to discuss the complicated and layered business of the restaurant industry. We all eat out, some of us a lot. Most non-industry consumers don’t think often enough about what drives restaurants and how they survive a challenging economy and business model.

What stood out most was the spirit that continues to define Atlanta hospitality: a commitment to community, integrity, leadership, and caring for people. Time and again, speakers reflected on the passion that drives this industry forward and the responsibility to support the teams and communities behind every restaurant.

As the Community Partner, Giving Kitchen was honored to help center the importance of caring for food service workers and strengthening the support systems that allow this industry to thrive. We’re especially grateful to hear from one of our Founders, Chris Hall, Board Chair Nancy Oswald, and many longtime Giving Kitchen supporters who continue to champion compassion, advocacy, and community within hospitality.

Giving Kitchen joined industry leaders, partners, and advocates at the National Restaurant Association Show to deepen relationships and continue conversations around supporting food service workers nationwide. The show served as a meaningful reminder of the generosity, resilience, and shared care that define the hospitality community.

We’re incredibly grateful for every conversation shared throughout the week, each opportunity to tell Giving Kitchen’s story, and the many people who continue to champion care for food service workers in crisis. It was especially meaningful to reconnect with longtime supporters, including Toast, Popmenu, SpotOn, Cali BBQ Media, Sysco, and US Foods, while also building new connections with organizations like Frazil, Fortessa, FinTitan, Square, The Coca-Cola Company, and Craveworthy Brands.

Every connection helps strengthen the network of support surrounding food service workers, and we’re deeply thankful to be part of an industry that continues to show up for one another.

FAB Conference 2026, Celebrating 10 Years

Jen at Fab Conference 2016

We’re honored that one of our Founders, Jen Hidinger-Kendrick, will be leading several discussions at the upcoming FAB Conference, taking place Sunday, June 7 to Tuesday, June 9, in Charleston, SC.

This year marks an especially meaningful milestone as FAB celebrates 10 years of building community, education, and empowerment for women in food and beverage. While the conference continues to evolve year after year, its heart remains the same: creating a space where women across every stage of their food service careers can grow their business knowledge, strengthen leadership skills, and support one another through meaningful connections.

Whether through industry events, community gatherings, volunteer opportunities, or fundraising campaigns, there are so many meaningful ways to connect with Giving Kitchen’s team and support food service workers in crisis. We invite you to stay connected, join us at an upcoming event, and be part of the community helping care for the people who care for all of us.
