After graduating from Georgetown University Law Center, Eda practiced bankruptcy litigation in Chicago. Upon receiving an offer in the emerging swaps and derivatives field, Eda moved to New York to work with the General Counsel of a banking conglomerate. She also attended Peter Kump’s New York Cooking School (now the Institute of Culinary Education), earning a certificate in French Classical Cooking. Eda later moved back to Chicago to raise a family and has spent the last twenty years in philanthropy, advising numerous organizations with which she maintains strong relationships, including the Gene Siskel Film Center of the School of the Art Institute, Green City Market, the Primo Center for Women and Children, and Strides For Peace, on fundraising, development, and outreach tactics. She loves coffee, a good historical fiction novel, and has traveled to all seven continents.
